My View of Africa

These oil paintings are from my photographs. Most are taken on my safaris to Kenya with my favorite tour company, Capture Africa Tours. How lucky am I to capture such intimate and charming moments with my camera! Then I spend days sifting through thousands (literally) of images to find the ones that will translate well into an oil painting. My one criteria is that the painting tells a story...a story about the animal I paint. A story that you, as the viewer, can relate to.

I live in Oregon, but my home and heart are in Africa. The time I spend there searching for the perfect photographic moment is the happiest of my life. I could write a book singing Africa's praises, but those of you who've been there "know" and those who have not I hope my paintings give you a glimpse into my Africa.

All proceeds (as in every single penny) from your purchase will go to several personally selected African nonprofits that benefit elephants, rhinos, and other endangered species
